SRINAGAR, Nov 27: J&K Bank RSETI Kulgam concluded a 3-week ‘Skill Enhancement’ training programme in Dress Making, wherein 34 women belonging to BPL category participated. The programme was sponsored by DRDA through various Panchayats.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Director Institute Mohammad Shafi Ayaz said that since April the institute has trained 9 batches comprising of 288 candidates against annual target of 15 batches.
Out of these, 124 entrepreneurs have been provided with credit facility by various banks particularly by J&K Bank, he added. He further said that 8 awareness camps were also organized during current financial year.
Project Officer, DRDA Kulgam Dr A U Tak distributed the certificates among participants and expressed the hope that these programmes will certainly help in generation of employment among unemployed youth of the district.
Such types of training programmes are attracting more and more unemployed youth of the district which itself speaks of success of such programs, he added.
Meanwhile, FLCC Bandipora conducted awareness camps at Ashtangoo and Girls high School Kaloosa, which were attended by a large gathering comprising of villagers, Sarpanchs, Panchs, students and teachers.
During both the camps facilitator FLCC Bandipora Abdul Sattar explained in detail credit facilities provided by financial institutions for employment generation. Similar FLCC camps were also held at Kulgam and Rohama.
