JAMMU, Dec 19: Three-day Residential Sub Regional Conference by J&K branch of Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at Patnitop, concluded today.
CA  Rajender Arora, NICASA Chairman, CA. Nitin Kanwar, Treasurer, NIRC of ICAI  were the guest speakers in the conference. .
In the 1st Technical Session, CA. Rajender Arora, NICASA Member, deliberated in detail about the GST Act and opportunities available for professionals under GST.
In the 2nd Technical Session, CA. Nitin Kanwar, Treasurer, NIRC of the ICAI,  dwelt upon the topic of demonetization. He deliberated in detail about the various important provisions of the law and  the rules framed there under. He said that responsibility of auditors has increased manifold.
CA Ashwani Khajuria, Chairman of J&K Branch of ICAI, also deliberated on the scheme and further emphasized the role of Chartered Accountants in creating the proper awareness of the scheme.
CA. Sumit Garg, Secretary, NIRC of the ICAI, CA  Rakesh Makkar NICASA member ICAI along with other office bearers of NIRC of the ICAI,  were also present on the occasion.
CA. Ajay Gupta, Secretary, J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI, delivered the inaugural address and  welcomed the guests
CA Anish Abrol, Executive Member, J&K Branch of the ICAI, conducted proceedings during the Technical Sessions. CA. Shalay Razdan, Executive Member, J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI presented the vote of thanks. CA. Ashwani Khajuria, Chairman, J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI and CA. Jatinder Jaswal, Treasurer, J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI was also present at the occasion. A large number of Chartered Accountants from other States and J&K participated in the conference.
