JAMMU, June 16: JK Christian Minority Welfare Association has stepped out to help the needy people amidst lockdown.
A function was organized here today at Christian Colony Ward Number 7 by Nassir Masih Chairman of the organization to support 100 under privileged families of the area in presence of SDPO North Sharad Kalu.
Nassir Masih said that poor and helpless people are disturbed due to the lockdown. The pandemic has affected all section of the society ruthlessly, and our organization continuing its motto to serve the poor people by distributing of dry ration kits to needy people here, who are struggling to earn a single meal a day and also to those whose livelihood is hit hard by the lockdown, he added.
Sharad Kalu SDPO North said, “We all should get vaccinated and follow Gover-nment guideline to come out of this deadly disease”.
Michael Wazir President expre-ssed gratitude to all the members of the society who came forward for providing financial help and free ration.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Gafoor Masih Pastor, Samuel Gill, Marshal Sotra, Kritan Singh, Pastor Vickey Mooman, Sham Lal Gill, Vinod Sotra, Saleem Sotra and John Lawrence.
