J&K Cultural Academy holds meet

LEH, Mar 10: J&K Cultural Academy, Leh today organised a special meeting at Academy Hall, in which CEC’s Consultative Committee Members of Arts and Culture, LAHDC, Leh and intellectual, writer, scholar, artists and president, representative of various cultural society took part.
While speaking, Tsewang Paljor, Special Officer for Culture, J&K Cultural Academy, Leh expressed concern on the burning issue of culture related problem of Ladakh.
In the meeting, the members decided to frame a committee for Art and Culture, which will submit report to the CEC, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh.
Tsewang Rigzin, Councillor extended full support from LAHDC, in future to redress the issues of culture and art in the region.
Tsering Sonam, Councillor, LAHDC, Leh, Nazir Hussain, Senior Cultural Officer, Gen. Tsering Chosphel, Editor along with other members present in the meeting expressed their views and discussed on the burning issue relating to the Art and Culture of Ladakh.
Among others present were Prof Jimyang Namgyal, Scholar, SNA Awardee Mipham Otsal, Nawang Tsering, Ex-Chief Editor, Ge. Paldan, Ex-Editor, Ge. Tsering Rigzin, Ex-Prof, Ge. Konchok Phandey, Tsering Namgail, President, Ladakh Cultural Forum, etc.
