Administrative Secretary IT and CEO J&K eGovernance Agency Amit Sharma shared the recent IT initiatives of the Union Territory which led towards declaring J&K as a favourite IT destination due to the constant Digital Transformation taking placing here at a constant pace.
Amit Sharma shared J&K perspective and recent IT breakthrough initiatives including complete switch over to e-Office mode, successful launch of DVC and SWAN using MPLS Technology.
In this India Transformation Summit relating to role of futuristic technologies in transforming India, Amit Sharma’s counterparts from States of Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar and Punjab also spoke.
Charu Chadda, Facebook Data Advocacy Policy Manager also shared Industry perspective in this discussion.
Secretary IT, J&K Amit Sharma during his keynote address mentioned that CSC Model in a revamped and simplified format can help last mile users to avail basic services with its widespread usage through IVR on basic phone lines using USSD coding technology. He also said that J&K is focused to implement Bharatnet in a big way in coming times for realistic the broader vision of LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Dr AK Mehta who are focused towards provisioning internet facilities upto Panchayat level and ultimately village level in J&K.
Before concluding, Amit Sharma termed J&K as a favourite destination for huge IT firms, whether in Software Development or Hardware Tools to avail the benefits of latest Industrial Policy and Ease of Doing Business conditions.
