J&K Dharmarth Trust completes major renovation projects

JAMMU, Oct 23: To brief the Trustees and Council members about the various activities, developments and renovation projects undertaken by the Trust for temples, a meeting of the J&K Dharmarth Trust Council was held here today.
The meeting was held under the esteemed chairmanship of Chairman Trustee, Dr. Karan Singh.
During the meeting, President of the Trust highlighted the significant development works completed during the first two quarters of the financial year, including the restoration and reconstruction of the Shiva Temple in Gulmarg, Shiv Temple Pahalgam, the Rani Samadhis complex and the iconic Ranbireshwar Temple.
The President also presented the half-yearly budget of the Trust and secured approval for the expenditures incurred so far, as well as for the projected costs associated with ongoing projects.
The Council members actively participated in the discussions, expressing their confidence in the efforts undertaken by the Trust for the overall upkeep of its assets.
Special mention was made of the excellent renovations carried out at Raghunath Temple Jammu, Ranbireshwar Temple, Shree Raghunath Temple Sui Simbli, Sudh Mahadev, Mantalai Temples, Shankaracharya Temple and Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple in Srinagar.
The Council Members collectively resolved to prioritize the development and upliftment of Shree Ranbir Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Birpur, which has recently been affiliated with Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
Expressing his satisfaction with the progress made, Dr. Karan Singh appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Trustees and the administration.
He concluded by encouraging all members to remain steadfast in their efforts to preserve and promote the rich cultural and religious heritage of Jammu & Kashmir through the Trust’s initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Trustees Vikramaditya Singh, Ajatshatru Singh, Ranvijay Singh, Martand Singh Brig. R.S. Langeh, Padma Shri Prof Vishwa Murti Shastri, S.M. Sahni, Vishal Abrol, Sunil Trakru and Ashok Kumar Sharma.
