J&K Dharmarth Trust holds Council meeting in Srinagar

*Work for enhancing image of Trust: Karan Singh

SRINAGAR, Aug 8: J&K Dharmarth Trust Council today held its meeting under the chairmanship of Chairman Trustee, Dr Karan Singh.
In the meeting, Trustees Vikramaditya Singh, Ajatshatru Singh and Ranvijay Singh, President J&K Dharmarth Trust, Ajay Gandotra and Council members Dr Vishwa Murti Sharma, Dr Uttam Chand Sharma, Dr Parshotam Singh Pathania and Sunil Trakroo were present.
During the meeting, various issues pertaining to repairs and maintenance of Shrines both in Kashmir and Jammu region, exploring avenues for increasing receipts of the Trust, enhancement of guest capacity and facilities at various temples  managed by the Trust besides provisioning of adequate Langars at all the Shrines.
Keeping in view the fiscal aspects, it was decided during the meeting that Dharmarth Trust will work in close coordination with the Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir and Deputy Commissioners of the respective areas where shrines are situated especially for seeking Government grants for maintenance of temples falling under the realm of the Dharmarth Trust. Moreover, the matter pertaining to MoU signed by Dharmarth Trust and its Employees’ Union was also discussed at length.
Chairman Trustee, Dr Karan Singh in his address, directed to all the members to work relentlessly with utmost sincerity for enhancing the image of the Trust as well as wellbeing of its employees.
Later, Trust president Ajay Gandotra presented a booklet to the Chairman Trustee Dr Karan Singh that has been provided by the Jammu Civil Society containing significant suggestions with pictorial representations of initiatives required to be taken with regard to development of the shrines and temples managed by the Trust so that more facilities are put in place especially for the devotees visiting the Raghunath ji Temple.
Dr Karan Singh termed the booklet as a useful suggestion and appreciated the Jammu Civil Society for evincing keen interest in the development of Raghunath ji Temple. He asked the members of the Trust to work on the valuable suggestions provided by the Jammu Civil Society.
