J&K does well in 15-18 age group vaccination

With the combined efforts of the administration , the dedicated Medical Health Officers and associated staff – the frontline workers – as also increasing consciousness among the young age group of 15-18 years, the UT could achieve the ”distinction” of ranking second top with 83.6 percent achievement in the country in vaccination drive as the state of Andhra Pradesh topped for the same performance while Himachal Pradesh follows J&K. It is worth noting that vaccinating the young age group as under reference started from early January this year and in less than three months time, such a remarkable achievement of the UT is commendable which can further strengthen the writ and resolve to accept more challenging tasks which had noble cause inherent. The aim should now be to get it cent- percent in administering both the doses of the vaccine in this age group to fight the COVID virus which is still wracking millions in many countries and has recently shown some isolated instances of resurrection in parts of Delhi signalling us all to be cautious and not discontinuing wearing of a mask especially in crowded places.
