JAMMU, Dec 3: Union MoS Finance and Corporate Affairs and In-charge J&K DDC elections, Anurag Thakur has claimed that removal of “irrelevant” Articles 370 and 35-A from J&K is in the interest of the people.
Thakur further said that Gupkar alliance is showing false dreams of its (Article 370) return only to cheat J&K people.
“Modi government has abrogated Articles 370 and 35-A which have been a curse in the development of J&K over the years and the abrogation has ensured the momentum for development on the UT,” he maintained further claiming that due to Articles 370 and 35-A J&K citizens for years were deprived of facilities they were entitled to.
The Union MoS also claimed that under this “irrelevant” article some families have worked only to secure their political futures and living their lives luxuriously.
“Modi Ji’s strong steps to provide rights and identity to J&K has given rise to a panic situation among these families and in order to resist Modi Ji they have started speaking anti-national language directly harming the interests of nation,” Thakur further said adding that J&K got many benefits after the removal of Article 370 and 35-A.
He said that with abrogation of Article 370 problems of dual citizenship of J&K people have gone with tribal, Balmiki societies and others getting respectful citizenship.
“The way for setting up of industries and businesses in J&K and employment generation has been cleared. J&K girls will now be able to get their rights even after their marriages and J&K is now feeling fully connected with India after the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A,” Thakur said further adding that days of stone pelting and terrorist incidents in Kashmir are a history now.
