J&K Govt employees given final opportunity to file property returns

JAMMU, Feb 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has given a final opportunity to its employees to file their Annual Property Returns (APRs) through the Property Return System (PRS) portal.
As per an order, the employees, who missed to file their APRs due to different reasons earlier, can now file the same through a 15 days’ window granted to them from February 1 to February 15, 2025.
This move followed the earlier deadline of January 31, 2025, which saw a significant number of employees failing to submit their details on the Property Return System (PRS) portal.
The Government order said that the failure to submit the property returns within the extended deadline may result in punitive actions under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Men and Public Servants Declaration of Assets Act, 1983, and penalties under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Defaulting employees may also face denial of vigilance clearance, said the order.<
To facilitate the submission process, employees experiencing issues with OTP or other technical difficulties have been encouraged to update their contact details on the CPIS portal or contact support-prs@jkgov.in for assistance.
Accordingly, all the controlling officers and administrative departments have been instructed to ensure strict adherence to the filing process.
