J&K Govt hikes DA

JAMMU, Oct 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has hiked the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the employees, pensioners and family pensioners.

Two separate orders issued in this context read, “in continuation to the Governor orders number 212-F of 20247 dated June 26, 2024 and 215-F of 2024 dated June 26, 2024, the Government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners shall be paid revised DA at the rate of 239% of the basic pay, pension or family pension from the existing rate of 230% of the basic pay, pension or the family pension.
Further, it has been ordered that the arrears on account of additional instalment of DA from January 2024 to September 2024 shall be paid in cash in the month of October 2024 and shall form part of the monthly pay, pension or family pension from October 2024 onwards.
“The payment on account of DA involving a fraction of 50 paisa and above shall be rounded up to the next higher rupee and the fraction of less than 50 paisa shall be ignored,” the orders further read.
