KATHUA, Aug 30: J&K Grameen Bank has opened branch at Chan Gran with initial deposit of Rs 72 lakh and advance of Rs 15 lakh thus bringing the total number of branches to 209.
Prominent citizens, panches and sarpanches of the locality were present on the occasion of opening ceremony of the branch. On the opening day the branch has opened 100 savings bank accounts under “Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana” (PMJDY).
While speaking on the occasion, Vagish Chander Sharma, Chairman of the bank impressed upon the gathering to avail all types of banking facilities from this newly opened fully computerized branch.
General Manager Gurcharan Singh called upon the audience to come forward for availing various banking facilities being extended at their doorstep while ensuring that financial discipline is maintained.
KL Sharma, Area Manager, Kathua made people aware about bank deposit/credit schemes and also extended vote of thanks.
