JAMMU, July 9: J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural organized camps under Kisan Pakhwada at various locations across Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir through different branches.
The camps under Branch Offices Simbal More and Sruinsar were attended by Chairman and General Manager of the Bank to boost morale of the employees. About 1942 KCC loans stand sanctioned by the Bank.
Janak Raj Angural, Chairman, J&K Grameen Bank, while speaking on the occasion said that the aim of Kisan Pakhwada which is being observed all across the country from July 7 to 21, 2020 is to distribute Kisan Credit Cards to all the eligible farmers to achieve 100 per cent saturation. He said that J&K Grameen Bank will make all the possible efforts to achieve this noble objective and be a major contributor towards reviving economy of the Union territory.
DK Bali, General Manager, J&K Grameen Bank, said that the objectives of Kisan Pakhwada include achieving saturation of KCC and to identify farmers under PM Kisan, removal of bottlenecks for farmers in obtaining loans against KCC, credit to primary agriculture sector, massive awareness regarding schemes available for farmers and organizing Kisan melas. He also talked about various social security schemes like PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY etc.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Farooq Ahmed Bhat advised all the concerned departments to work in close coordination to achieve the target of Kisan Credit Card saturation within the shortest possible time given under Kisan Pakhwada and encouraged gathering to enroll under this scheme.
Sahil Sharma, Regional Manager Jammu and Shamsher Singh, HOD FIID, of J&K Grameen Bank, informed the participants about different loan schemes of the bank.
Officials from Agricultural and Animal husbandry Department as well as Sarpanchs and Panchs of their respective areas participated in the programme.
All respective Branch Heads also addressed the gathering and requested to all the eligible farmers to avail the KCC from the Bank without any hindrance and then presented the vote of thanks.
