JAMMU, Dec 31: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) today unveiled e-Calendar 2021 for its customers.
The e-Calendar was unveiled by Chief General Manager (CGM) NABARD, R K Srivastava at Bank’s Head Office Narwal Jammu.
The unveiling ceremony was graced by DGM NABARD, Rahul Shashni, Chairman JKGB Sudhir Gupta, General Manager JKGB Ajay Kohli, Chief AI&V JKGB Vinay Gupta and other officials of the Bank.
The decision to go for Digital Calendar instead of the printed version comes on the back of Finance Ministry Advisory wherein it was communicated to all Government Organizations including banks to opt for digital calendars for economizing the expenses, wider reach and efficiency.
Speaking on the occasion, CGM NABARD said that looking at the digital future of economy coupled with the Government advisory post COVID-19 outbreak, it was correct decision taken by the Bank to shift to digital platform.
Chairman JKGB said, “It was right time for the Bank to switch from the age-old practice of printing of Calendars to the digital mode. The digital calendar is easy to download, as the Bank shall be uploading PDF format of the e-Calendar on its website and Social Media Handles. The e-Calendar shall reach to almost anyone with a smart phone”. He assured that the association between Bank and its customers would further strengthen with this transition.
Sudhir Gupta said the Bank’s e-Calendar 2021 in PDF format can be downloaded from the Website of the Bank (https://www.jkgb.in) or from the Social Media Handles of the Bank. Besides, he said, the Bank has also sent SMS to all its customers, envisaging therein the link for the e-Calendar download.
