J&K Home Guards call on Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah

JAMMU, June 19: A delegation of All J&K Home Guard Welfare Association, led by Kamla Sharma, called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP national president Amit Shah at New Delhi.
The delegation apprised Rajanth Singh and Amit Shah of the demands and grievances of Home Guards in J&K. The Association demanded regularization of Home Guards and enhancement of their honorarium.
According to a handout, issued by the Association, Rajnath Singh assured that demands of the Home Guards would be taken up with the concerned authorities in J&K for positive consideration.
The delegation comprised of Rekha Singh, Soba Singh, Mushtaq Ahmad, Bilal Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Arti Kumari and others.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the Home Guard Association was held at Udhampur wherein the State Government was urged to enhance salary of the Home Guards at par with other States.
The meeting was addressed by the Association president Kamla Sharma, district president Dharm Singh and others, who highlighted demands of the Home Guards.
