JAMMU, Apr 12: Saurabh Bhagat, Director General, J&K IMPARD, today chaired an online review meeting on “District Good Governance Index (DGGI) Dashboard” which has been created by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) in collaboration with J&K IMPARD.
The review meeting was attended by Satvir Kour Sudan, DG Economics & Statistics; Regional Directors, Director Trainings JKIMPARD, E&S, Chief Planning Officers (CPOs) and District Statistics Officers (DSOs).
In the meeting, the Director General informed that it was decided in the High-Powered Committee by Chief Secretary, J&K Government and Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, that data changes in the Sectoral performance will be captured not only annually but on monthly basis. This will inculcate a spirit of competitiveness and thereby improve performance of districts.
The Director General further informed the meeting that as part of the DGGI initiative, digital dashboard for DGGI has been designed and is being operationalized with the assistance of National Informatics Centre (NIC), New Delhi, and J&K IMPARD so as to monitor the performance of various Sectors and Indicators on a common digital platform.
The DG also informed that the Log-In Ids and Passwords have been provided to the officers for punching in data entries for the month of February and March, 2022, on a trial run. In this connection, the DGGI Dashboard reports of four districts: Anantnag, Jammu, Budgam and Reasi, have been generated on 11th April 2022, on pilot basis so that technological glitches, if any, and improvement in the data analysis of the report could be worked upon by Director General, Economics & Statistics, Regional Director, E&S, and Technical Director NIC Puish Goyal.
The DG informed that the inauguration of the Digital Dashboard has been advanced from May 14th to April 28th.
