J&K Jat Sabha felicitates Councilors, KAS qualifiers

JAMMU, Dec 22: A function was today organized by the All J&K Jat Sabha (AJKJS) to felicitate the members of the Jat community who have been elected as Councilors of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and youth who have recently qualified KAS exams.
The function was organized under the chairmanship of Former Minister and President All J&K Jat Sabha Manjit Singh which was attended by large number of members of the Jat biradari.
The Councilors who were felicitated include Dwarika Choudhary, Surjeet Choudhary, Surinder Choudhary, Inderjit Randhawa, Ritu Choudhary and Gurmeet Randhawa. The youth who have qualified KAS exams and were felicitated by the AJKJS include Sahil Randhawa, Sheetal Choudhary and Ranjit Kour alongwith their families.
While speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh urged upon the Councilor to work dedicatedly for the upliftment of the Jat biradari which is still lagging behind comparatively to others. Singh further said that the AJKJS is working, since its registration in 1967, for the upliftment and welfare of the Jat biradari following which many issues stands resolved but said that still a lot needs to be done.
He urged upon the members of the community to get united in fight against social evils and drugs which are emerging threats to the society.
He assured the biradari members that with their support Jat Sabha will leave no stone unturned to ensure that OBC status is granted to the community with the shortest possible time.
Others who spoke on the occasion include Sukhnandan Choudhary Former Minister, Vikram Randhawa Former MLC, Kamal Choudhay, TS Tony, Advocate KS Johal, Pratap Choudhary, Jarnail Choudhary, Mohinder Choudhary, Sarpanch Rakesh Choudhary and Manjit Singh Jatt.
Among others who were present include DySP HS Gill, NS Chahal, Captain Om Prakash, Choudhary Dev, Choudhary Jagar, Choudhary Sham, Choudhary Mohinder, Choudhary Subash and Choudhary Anil.
