JAMMU, June 23: All J&K 1947 POJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum convened a general house meeting under the leadership of Amrik Singh and joined by Surjit Singh, general secretary of Forum in connection with All Party meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Central leaders to be held at Delhi.
The Forum took it a positive step and appealed to the participants belonging to J&K UT and especially to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to positively consider the issues concern with the PoJK Sharnarthis like defreezing of Legislative 24 Assembly seats kept for PoJK displaced persons belongs to Poonch, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur and Bhimber. They Further reitrated that the dispute between Indo-Pak ultimately has been finished after scraping the controversial Articles 370 and 35 A by the Indian Parliament with thumping majority.
They expressed their reservation that since 1951 we are being ignored by our due share of representation, in Parliament as well as in Assembly seats and on otherwise Pakistan Govt. has released the seats for those people who have left J&K in 1947.
The Forum further elaborate that the Delimitation Commission is set to submit it’s report to Govt keeping in view the sentiments of J&K PoJK Sharnarthis at least 8 seats may be defreezing for displaced persons belongs to PoJK and we demand every Distt of PoJK may be given representation. The general house in one voiced resolved that virtually PoJK Sharnarthi are the Savior of the J&K and about 40000 people had laid their lives in 1947 against Pak Army.
The Forum members expressed their sentiments and hoped that this is the right Forum to placed our legitimate demands before the All party meet.
