J&K Legislature to meet from July 4 to discuss GST

SRINAGAR: Another session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislature has been summoned from July 4 to discuss and pass Goods and Services Tax (GST), which will be rolled out in the rest of the country from mid-night.

An official spokesperson here said J&K Legislative Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta, in exercise of his powers under third provision to Rule 16 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of the Business in the Legislative Assembly, has called the fifth Session of the 12th Legislative Assembly from July 4, 2017 at 1000 hrs at Srinagar.

“As per the Provisional Calendar issued by the Assembly Secretariat, there will be four sittings on July 4, July 5, July 7 and July 8 while as July 6 will be off day,” he said. (AGENCIES)
