He was addressing a press conference in Jammu today.

He revealed that the brave hearts of other States were adequately conferred with ex-gratia to the tune of Rs. 25 lakh to 1 crore as a token of respect and an acknowledgement of their valour where as J&K on the other hand had failed to show such gesture to the sons of the soil who attained martyrdom including others who sustained injuries for the security and safety of its own people and the nation.
While demanding immediate announcement of adequate ex-gratia and benefits under SRO 43 for the bereaved families of Kargil martyrs besides others, he roared that the brave hearts deserved the financial assistance with honour and dignity and not alms.
Accusing the BJP- PDP combine in the State for conferring premiums of Rs 5 lakh to the militants and Rs 10 lakh to the ring leaders of stone pelters, Singh deplored the State Government’s reprobate policy of appeasing the secessionists who had waged war against the State and the country while it out rightly disparaged and ignored the martyrs of the State. He called upon the BJP ministers to shed off their inhibitions and assert in view of growing public resentment against their inaction, political incompetence and vulnerability. He cautioned the Jammu ministers of dire consequences if the immediate announcements of adequate ex-gratia to all the martyrs of Jammu and compassionate appointments to the next of the kin were not made public.
Gagan Pratap Singh Spokesman JKNPP and Gian Chand were also present in the press conference.
