JAMMU, Mar 8: The J&K State Paramedical Council successfully conducted the examination of about 7000 students of different streams in various districts of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
In Jammu Division, a total of around 5000 students appeared, out of which, 1317 and 529 were of Female Multipurpose Health Worker for Part I and II respectively, besides 316 and 113 students of Male Multipurpose Health Worker stream for Part I and II, 1372 of 1st year, 380 of 2nd year, 695 of 3rd year and 202 of 4th Year of General Nursing Midwifery Stream, rest of the students were of the streams of Operation Theatre Technology, LHV, Ophthalmic Assistant, Sanitary Inspector, Anaesthesia Assistant, D-Pharmacy and Pharmacist Indian System of Medicine who appeared in different examination centres across Jammu Division.
In Jammu District, 2619 students appeared in three centres established in Stephens International Public School Nihalpura, Miran Sahib Jammu, Shri Guru Govind Singh Higher Secondary School Kunjwani and Shiksha Niketan Satwari Jammu.
In the districts of Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban, 945, 352, 192, 235, 274, 191 and 101 students appeared in different centres respectively.
A team headed by President J&K Paramedical Council Dr Sunanda Raina, Controller Examination Prof (Dr) AS Bhatia & Registrar J&K Paramedical Council Dr Sandeep Singh inspected various Examination Centres throughout the day.
Dr Sunanda Raina congratulated all those involved in the process of successful completion of phase-II Paramedical Examinations.
Registrar J&K Paramedical Council congratulated Controller of Examinations Jammu / Kashmir on successful & smooth conduct of the examination.
He further said that J&K Paramedical Council on the directions of Financial Commissioner, Atul Dulloo, has taken a number of reformative measures including starting of B.Sc Degree Courses in various Government Medical Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir which has uplifted the standard of Paramedical Education & Training in J&K.
Prof (Dr) AS Bhatia, Controller of Examination reiterated his aim of zero tolerance to the act of copying in Examination & asked the Principals of various Government as well as Private Institutes to train the Paramedical students to its best in order to improve the Paramedical Nursing Care in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
