JAMMU, July 6: Exhorting party workers to expose misdeeds of the BJP and its proxy Government in Jammu and Kashmir, former Minister and working president of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, Raman Bhalla on Saturday said that people are anxiously waiting for the coming Assembly elections to teach BJP a lesson for its anti-people policies.
“The BJP and its proxy Government in Jammu and Kashmir has been exposed as woes of the common masses have been compounding with every passing day and those at the helm of the affairs are least concerned about mitigating miseries of the common people”, Bhalla said while addressing a worker’s convention at Bhour Camp in RS Pura, falling under Jammu South Assembly constituency.
“Apart from political uncertainty, Jammu and Kashmir is also suffering from crises of governance during the last ten years”, Bhalla said while pointing towards the failure of the present regime on all fronts.
He reminded the people, that Congress, time and again, has proved how to provide good governance to the people by improving quality and capacity to deliver.
Bhalla further said that the BJP controlled government in Jammu and Kashmir has miserably failed on all fronts plunging the people of this sensitive region into an ocean of miseries.
“Instead of solving problems of the people, the BJP’s proxy government in J&K indulged in cheap publicity by presenting fake figures and statistics”, . Bhalla said and challenged the recent statements of the J&K government regarding start-ups in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the height of misgovernance can be well gauged from the fact that today the people of J&K are craving even the basic amenities and facilities like power and potable water essential for their very survival.
Congress working president lambasted the J&K administration by making tall claims of providing thousands of jobs to the youth while the reality is quite contrary which is evident from the fact that the youth are seeing only and only a bleak future in front of them.
Seeking a decisive mandate to establish a new system of justice and equality in J&K, Bhalla said that the Congress is committed to providing efficient, transparent, accountable and corruption-free governance to the people who are bearing brunt of the BJP’s arrogance for the last 10 years.
