Addressing public rallies at Nowshera, Kalakote and Poonch in support of alliance candidates, Surinder Choudhary, Yashuvardhan Singh and Ajaz Jan today Omar said that last ten years of BJP rule have proved full of crisis for the people of J&K. He said the people and specially youth and farmers have suffered a lot. They have been fed up of the policies of BJP Government.
Omar said the promises made by the BJP leaders with the people of J&K after abrogation of Article 370 have proved hollow. Neither development was ensured, nor jobs were provided to the unemployed youth here. On the name of recruitment several scams were seen during last several years. The unemployment rate has reached at the high point in J&K at present.
Referring to the free ration claims of the BJP, Omar said no one can feed a family with just 2.5 kg ration. They have stopped giving sugar and kerosene oil to the people. During NC’s rule the people used to get 35 kg ration per family and the scale was 7 kg per member. He said if the NC government comes to power, it will provide sugar, kerosene oil and adequate quantity of ration to the consumers.
Omar claimed that NC is going to form next government with its alliance partner, with comfortable majority. The administration is trying to harass our party candidates and party has received several such complaints. Even they are not being given proper security cover for rallies and movement. He asked the party candidates and the workers to have patience and wait for Oct 8 results.
Omar was accompanied by party MP, Mian Altaf and other senior leaders.
