JAMMU, Aug 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Junior Boys Football Team has reached the semi-finals of the Dr. BC Roy Trophy for Junior Boys National Football Championship 2024-25, marking their first semi-final appearance in 48 years, as per statement. They secured their spot by defeating Tripura by 6-2 in their final group match at Nurul Amin Stadium, Nagaon, Assam.
The team excelled in the group stages, winning against Gujarat (5-1) and Uttarakhand (3-0), and drawing with Madhya Pradesh (1-1). Their impressive performance placed them at the top of Group B, which includes 19 teams from across India.
Head Coach Satpal Singh Kala, Manager Hanan Riyaz, Assistant Coach Rameez Malik, and Physiotherapist Dr JD Singh have played key roles in the team’s success.
