JK Police, SWIS hold awareness programme about child abuse

JAMMU, Oct 13: Socio Welfare International Society (SWIS) in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Police under the Civic Action Program of district police Jammu organised series of awareness Programmes ” Samaj Ko Swachh Banana Hai” at Narwal Wave Mall, Akhnoor ,R S Pora , Jammu University which concluded here at Bhagwati Nagar today.
The Programme was based on to fight against the alarming increase in child abuse/rapes and gender insensitivity and role of parents to educate their children irrespective of gender especially male child about their responsibilities towards society as good citizens. The play focused on the subject that gender awareness requires not only intellectual effort but also sensitivity and open mindedness.
Right from childhood parents should educate them how to treat a female’. Parents need to create such bonding with their children so that they can discuss on the topic of child abuse/rape like issues. The parents have to be clear with their male children about their actions and also make it clear to them that they will be given accountable punishment for their acts.
Nukad Play ” Samaj Ko Swachh Banana Hai” written & directed by Pradeep Pandita applauded by the large audience. Refreshment was served by 25 volunteers of the organisation to the audiences. The marvelous and spell bounding performances by the actors made the audience feel to understand the actual value of woman, the Gods gift. The actors who were involved in the play was senior Actor Shivam Bhat, Komal Nagri, Chaya , Anil , Nehal, Laksh ,Vishu, Lakash Dogra ,Sameer . Shalinder Bhat and Sheikh Minhaj Larvi managed the whole programme.
Volunteers Nasir Laway, Haseeb Dar, Akashay Raina, Aakash Gulzar, Ishtayaq Rasool,Jahangir, Waseem , Asif, Vikas Koul and others were there to guide audiences and help in understanding the audiences about the motive of the play.
