J&K progressed steadfastly during Cong regime: Bhalla

JAMMU, Nov 9: Minister for Housing, Culture and Horticulture and Congress party candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency Raman Bhalla today said that there is no alternate to the Congress Party as during the period of this party, J&K State in particular and the country in general progressed steadfastly in all sectors.
“Congress party always stood for the welfare and upliftment of common man and fought for their legitimate rights. The party has multi-pronged planning and strategy to deal with the issues of unemployment, poverty, upliftment of weaker sections of the society”, Mr Bhalla stated. While addressing series of public meetings in Jawahar Nagar,Nakki Mohalla Bathindi, of Gandhi Nagar constituency here today.
He said that Congress has done remarkable works to get problems of common masses solved at their door steps, adding that the people of the whole State witnessed unimaginable growth and development after Ghulam Nabi Azad took over as Chief Minister in year 2005.
Apart from creating unthinkable infrastructural facilities across Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Azad, continued the spree of growth and development, whether it was creation of new administrative units, opening of health centres, new ITI, polytechnic, degree colleges and upgradation of various high and higher secondary schools, Bhalla added.
He asserted that if his party was voted to power again, a new phase of development will be started in the Gandhi Nagar constituency, adding that Congress is committed to the equitable development of all three regions of State–Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Bhalla apprised the people about the developmental works carried out by the Congress party during the last six years Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said that the educational infrastructure, power and water infrastructure, road connectivity, health infrastructure, sports infrastructure, etc in every area falling under Gandhi Nagar constituency have witnessed large scale developments.
Minister exhorted the party workers to make people aware about the peace, prosperity and secularism policies of the Congress, so that the communal forces, who are trying to create a wedge between Hindu and Muslim communities are given a befitting reply in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the State.
Seeking vote for Congress party, Bhalla asked the people to make best use of their franchise in the forthcoming Assembly elections to elect honest, dedicated and people friendly representative.
