JAMMU, Mar 2: Socialistic Democratic Party president, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi has alleged that J&K has been proved to be a tool of exploitation by the politicians for their vested interests.
Addressing a public meeting at Birpur in Bari Brahmana, in support of party candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Gursagar Singh today, Dr Andrabi criticized the coalition partners and the opposition parties for deceiving people of the State by addressing their own political interests only and ignoring the public welfare at large for which the people had voted them in the last elections.
The SDP leader alleged that present Government has failed on all the fronts and the corruption was at its peak. There was no governance visible at all and the people were being crushed with the rising prices of essential commodities. No benefit is being actually provided to poor and deserving people of the Central schemes. She said in the ongoing Assembly session, it has been witnessed by the general public that members only wasted time, settled their own scores and no bills for the public welfare were brought and passed. The people are now fed up and want change in the system. She said that SDP will provide a new platform to the people in the State.
Party candidate Gursagar Singh and State general secretary Ajay Kumar besides woman leader Balwinder Kour also spoke on the occasion.
