J&K Retired Police Pensioners highlight pay anomaly issue

UDHAMPUR, May 4: A meeting of J&K Retired Police Pensioners was held at Dabbar Park, here today, to highlight discrimination with them in respect of pay anomaly.
In the meeting, several issues related with J&K retired Police pensioners were also highlighted by the speakers , who particularly drew attention towards Govt Order number 229 -F of 2014, dated 17-10-2014, regarding pay anomaly.
“The effect is being given prospectively, which means from the date of order. Whereas the effect should have been given from the year 1996 when 5th Pay Commission was implemented throughout the State but only this Police Deptt was left out,” they explained adding that some of the pensioners have passed away and their survivors should be given the benefit.
The meeting was attended by the district president of the pension, Insp Pawan Singh, Insp Kripal Singh, Prem Chand, Rashpaul Singh, Vijay Singh, Girdhari Lal, Shiv Lal, Shamsher Singh, Jai Singh and others.
