JAMMU, Feb 8: By the order of Lt Governor, the Government has re-constituted J&K Science Technology and Innovation Council and its Executive Committee.
Headed by the Lt Governor as its Chairman, the Council comprises Chief Secretary J&K, Administrative Secretary Finance Department, Principal Secretary to LG and Administrative Secy, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department as the Members representing J&K Government while the Administrative Secy Science & Technology Department is its Member Secretary.
Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University, SKUAST Jammu/Kashmir, Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora, SMVDU, BGSBU, Directors of IIIM Jammu/Srinagar, IIT Jammu, NIT Srinagar, SKIMS Soura, Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture Rangreth, Srinagar are the representatives of universities and R&D Institutions in the council.
Besides, there shall be representatives of Science & Technology, Government of India and the private industry.
The Executive Committee of Science & Technology & Innovative Council shall be headed by the Chief Secretary J&K as its Chairman while Administrative Secretary, Science & Technology Department will be the Members Secretary. Administrative Secretary Finance Department, Principal Secretary to LG, Administrative Secretary Planning Development & Monitoring Department and Director IIIM Jammu/Srinagar are members of the Executive Committee.
