RAJOURI, Mar 8: Former MLC & J&K UT BJP general secretary, Vibodh Gupta along with senior party leaders conducted an extensive tour of Gambhir Mughlan and addressed a huge public gathering there. Gupta was accompanied by many BJP leaders including DDC, Thannamandi, Abdul Qayoom Mir, district general secretary, Ranjeet Tara, district vice president, Koushal Gupta and Samreen Khan.
Vibodh Gupta in his address said that the efforts of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi have nurtured and fulfilled people’s aspirations and the abrogation of Article 370 marked the beginning of a new era of peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
Highlighting the visionary measures taken to empower Tribal community under BJP Government he said “ST community stands with BJP as all social disparities and injustices with them has now come to an end”.
Gupta alleged that the temporary provisions of Articles 370 and 35A restricted the growth of J&K in the past and for a very long time, discrimination was normalized. Separatism, terrorism, corruption and dynastic politics had disempowered the common citizen.
Vibodh Gupta, while interacting with sizeable number of Tribals in the public meeting claimed that Modi led BJP Government brought J&K on the path of development, under privileged people were given rights, hundreds of Centrally sponsored schemes were introduced, poor people were benefited, salaries of “seasonal” teachers have been increased which are employed specially for tribal children, forest rights, revocation of the ban on inter-district recruitment, political reservation to STs and SCs and other measures taken for Tribal welfare.
“BJP Government provided a wonderful platform in the form of Eklavya Model residential schools across J&K that too in far flung inhospitable terrain especially for Tribal students to study and to persue their dreams”, Gupta added.
DDC Thannamandi, Abdul Qayoom Mir while addressing the masses said that the progress of Jammu and Kashmir has been the top priority of Narendra Modi led BJP Government.
J&K is marching forward on the path to progress by delivering Justice and empowering all communities, BJP district general secretary, Ranjeet Tara said.
Expressing gratitude towards PM Modi, Mandal Pardhan ST Morcha, Manjakote Liyaqat Choudhary said,” BJP Government ensured the welfare of all including the poor Schedule Tribe community and expressed confidence that ST people will fully support BJP.
