JAMMU, June 10: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Bocce Ball team won 3 medals in the 3rd Bocce Ball National Championship 2019 held at Agra in Uttar Pradesh.
The Championship in which over 250 players took part was organized by Bocce Ball Association of India.
Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta congratulated J&K Sports Bocce Ball Association for this achievement.
He advised the students to join sports for keeping fit and bringing laurels to the State.
He also congratulated Sunny Nanda, chief coach, J&K Sports Bocce Ball Association for producing good stuff from the State.
Amitansh Raina, student of St Xavier Convent School bagged first place, Pranay Gupta and Gurmanjeet Singh, both from OBM Sports Club won 2nd place, Kartavya Gupta (SD Tara Puri High School in Under-19 boys and Gurvansh Choudhary (Dogra Hr Secondary School bagged 4th place in under -17 boys. Amitansh Raina was selected for Asian Bocce Ball Championship to be held at Malaysia.
