JAMMU, Jan 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum submitted a memorandum to Principal Secretary School Education Department Suresh Kumar Gupta.
Earlier, the Forum held a meeting under the chairmanship of Chairman Mohd Ameen Khan and UT President Mohammed Ashraf Sheikh. The meeting brought together district presidents from across Jammu to discuss pressing issues affecting the teaching and non-teaching community.
Key issues discussed during the meeting included: promotion of eligible teachers as Master, promotion of Masters as Headmasters and confirmations, providing staff as per the class-teacher ratio, reforms in the Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) policy, etc.
Later, a delegation led by Mohd Ameen Khan, accompanied by State President Mohd Ashraf Sheikh and Sr Vice Chairman Showket Ali Beg, met with the Principal Secretary to School Education Department Suresh Kumar Gupta and discussed all these issues.
Principal Secretary School Educational Department assured the delegation that all the issues will be resolved in time bond manner,
