JAMMU, Mar 25: The pilgrimage tourism in J&K has got vast potential and whatever tourists we are receiving today in the State, the pilgrim tourists of Vaishnodevi ji, Shiv Khori, Amarnath ji, etc constitute major chunk in it.
This was stated by Rakesh Wazir, president, Hotel & Restaurant Association (HRA), Katra, while addressing the devotees at Oli Mata Temple, where Mata Vaishno Devi Pracheen Marg Charri Yatra came to conclusion with the beating of drums, dancing of people and performances of artists.
Wazir further said that with the opening of the old traditional route of Vaishnodevi ji this whole area will get open up and the major tourist spots of this area like Deva Mai, Kol Kandoli, Showa Mata, Mathwar, Ambaran, Jio Potta, Jagti Durga Mata Temple, Raja Nawal Garh Temple, Ram Darbar Temple, Bamyal Shiv Temple, etc will get major boost and will become the source of employment in whole area.
He asked the people for their support in getting sanctioned the proposed Jammu Airport at Jagti, besides getting sanctioned the project as well as money for the revival of all traditional places enroute this road so that the whole area gets revived.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were president, Mata Vaishnodevi Pracheen Pavitir Charri Yatra Committee, Ranveer Singh, vice president, Kartar Chand, secretary, Jagdish Raj, former Sarpanch, Ram Singh, Subhash Chander, Hans Raj, Mohd Ashraf and Manzoor Choudhary.
