JAMMU, June 20: Minister for Planning and Employment, Ajay Sadhotra today asserted that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed fast track development in all sectors due to tireless efforts of Coalition Government.
The Minister said this while addressing a public gathering after dedicating a transformer to people of Bachyal village in block Marh.
Senior officers, Panchs, Sarpanchs, besides prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
The Minister said that Government is working under a well knit programme to ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the State. He said that special attention was being paid to upgrade the infrastructure in all sectors to improve the living standard of the people especially living in remote and farthest areas of the State.
Sadhotra said that Government has recently scraped the recruitment policy and enhance retirement/ recruitment age which was widely welcome by all. He said that state is ushering towards the era of peace, progress and development under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, adding that setting up of tehsils, naibats, CD blocks and other administrative units was historic decision of the Government to bring the administration closer to the people.
People of the area projected various developmental demands which include construction of graveyard at Bachyal, replacement of defunct transformers, fresh BPL survey, blacktopping of roads, renovation of Peer Baba, lanes and drains, old age/widow pension and adequate ration supply.
The Minister gave them a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands would be fulfilled on priority. He said that bridge from Kalyanpur to Bachyal would be constructed soon and said that fresh BPL survey would also be conducted to benefit the targeted lot.
The Minister said that youth have a pivotal role in taking forward the development agenda of the State Government and asked upon the people to personally monitor the ongoing projects in their respective areas for their quality and timely completion.
