SRINAGAR, Jan 29: The YNC Provincial President (Kashmir) Salman Ali Sagar today said that youth of J&K are at crossroads and see no future for themselves.
While addressing a meeting of YNC’s Provincial, Zonal, District and block functionaries at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar, he alleged that the entire state machinery was focusing on window-dressing and not much heed was given on addressing the issues like unemployment.
“Given the pace of recruitment in the Government sector, absence of incentives for entrepreneurship and failure of the Government sector to support local industries, handicraft and tourism sectors, there seems no end to the miseries of our young lot,” he said and added that other segments of the society were equally tormented on different accounts and were looking up towards NC to rescue them from the quagmire the entire region finds itself in.
Exhorting the YNC functionaries to intensify their outreach, Salman Sagar maintained that YNC is an apt place for young people to influence party policies and make it more attuned to their aspirations and demands.
