JAMMU, Aug 31: J&K Zone CRPF Family Welfare Association (CWA) has sent relief material for flood affected people of Kerala.
The relief material was flagged off by Dr. Manu Bhatnagar, President CWA and was carried by Train Himsagar Express on Aug 27 from Jammu.
The consignment included 303 cartons containing 8015 ready to eat food packets, 300 cartons containing 8033 dry food ration packets, 14 cartons containing medicines, 9 cartons containing slippers, 4 cartons containing T-Shirts, one carton of Sanitary Napkins, 3 cartons containing mosquito coils, soaps, detergents and toothpaste, one carton containing packets of noodles, 4 bags of Rice, Chana Dal and Arhar Dal besides 9000 bottles (one litre each) of mineral water.
The consignment was handed over to the representatives of Kerala police deputed by Loknath Behera, DGP Kerala, at Coimbatore today by the Commandant 105 Rapid Action Force (RAF), CRPF on behalf of J&K Zone CRPF.
The material will be further distributed to the flood victims.
