JKAACL inaugurates 20 days Children’s Summer Workshop

JAMMU, June 14: Under the guidance of Bharat Singh, Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), a 20 days Summer Workshop for Children commenced here today after inauguration by Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy CM in the presence of participating children and their parents.
During the Workshop children will be trained in Painting, Dance and Theatre at K.L Saigal Hall.
After lightening the ceremonial lamp, Kavinder Gupta asked the participating children to learn whatever shall be taught in the Workshop from the seasoned mentors of national repute in their respective fields.
“Through this workshop, the children will get an opportunity to explore and excel in different fields of their choice and they will also interact with other children on a single platform,” he maintained.
Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Senior Drama Instructor at JKAACL and also In-charge Divisional Office Jammu while delivering welcome address said the Workshop aims to sensitize the children about their surroundings and with themselves also for being good human beings with the blend of courage, confidence and sensitivity and inspiration through actively participating in various arts.
Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor cum Culture Officer Gojri also spoke on the occasion.
A handout of JKAACL stated that internal experts Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Anil Tickoo, Sanjeev Gupta, Bhupinder Singh and Pankaj Gupta along with Ankush, Akash Dogra, Neeraj Kant, Suresh Kumar, Rakesh Kona and Divam have been engaged from outside to accomplish the Workshop.
