JAMMU, Feb 9: The two-day seminar for Punjabi Writers on topic ‘Samkali Punjabi Sahit-Jammu-Kashmir 2019-2023’ organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) concluded here today at K.L Saigal Auditorium.
Speakers in the seminar discussed various aspects related to literary activities in J&K during this period.
On concluding day of the seminar academic sessions and a session on cultural aspects were conducted by the Academy under the guidance of Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL.
Four research papers were presented by Prabhjot Kour on ‘Jammu Kashmir Da Punjabi Natak- Stitthi Ate Sambavnaavaan’, Jang S. Verman on the topic ‘Jammu Kashmir Di Punjabi Patarkaarta: Itihaas Te Paripekh- 2019- 2023, Ratan Singh Kanwal on ‘Ajokey Dour Vich Punjabi Boli Te Bhaasha’ and Dr. Sukhwinder Singh on ‘Jammu-Kashmir Da Punjabi Novel’ Vartmaan Stitthi’.
Prof. (Dr.) Baljit Kour, University of Jammu and Prof. Surinder Singh Seerat, a senior Punjabi writer, S. Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Sheeraza Punjabi, JKAACL were present on the presidium.
Poetry recitation was also conducted wherein Ajit Singh Mastana, Baljit Singh Raina, Joginder Singh Pandhi, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Dr. Monojit, Harjit Singh Uppal, Suraj Singh, Suraj Rattan, Surinder Singh Seerat, Balkar Singh, Bhupinder Singh Raina, Bhupinder Singh Bhargav, Rajkumar, Baldev Singh Panchi, Harpal Singh Pali, Swami Antar Neerav, Balwinder Singh, Bahan Bharti, Surinder Singh Sodhi and Pritam Singh Anjan presented their poetry.
Former president Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Harjit Singh Uppal, president Punjabi Sahitik Sabha, R.S Pura and senior writer Surinder Singh Sodhi were present on the presidium during the second session.
A cultural programme was presented in which groups Thoru Ram Premi & Party, Harman Cultural & Educational Society (Giddha), Jaswinder Singh & Party (Bhangra), Dilsher Singh & Party and Chaman Matoo & Party presented various cultural items projecting Punjabi culture.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by S. Popinder Singh Paras and T.S Premee. Vote of thanks was extended by S. Popinder Singh, Editor Sheeraza Punjabi JKAACL.
