JKAACL organizes Bhajan Sandhya

JAMMU, Aug 24: Celebrating Shree Krishan Janamashtami, a musical programme Bhajan Sandhya was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in the K.L Saigal Hall, Jammu.
Renowned and national acclaimed singers mesmerized the jam packed audience with their melodies voices.  V.K Sambyal, former Director Radio Kashmir, Jammu and a renowned artist, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Giving a detailed account of the future activity, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, said it was need of the time to assemble at one platform and celebrate the festive occasions. This not only flashes a message of brotherhood and unity but also refreshes the minds from the burden, he added.
Those who performed on the occasion,  included Upama Sharma, Marina Jamwal, Aakash Priya, Manoj Bakshi, Ravi Raghuvanshi and the musicians who accompanied the singers were Rakesh Anand (Flute), Bahadur Singh(Violin), Sahil Jasrotia (Tabla), Darshan Taroch (Guitar) and  Padmini Tikoo (Sitar).
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Anil Tikoo, Asstt. Cultural Officer of the Academy.
Among others, who were present on the occasion, included Prof Nirmal Vinod, Vinod Sharma, Ravi Sharma, Adv Jagdish Gupta, Asha Kesar, Shivani Anand, Virinder and Pyasa Anjum.
