JAMMU, Dec 8: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA), led by its president Dr Surinder Radotra, called on Director Agriculture Jammu A K Malhotra and submitted him a memorandum regarding core burning issues of VAEAs.
Dr Radotra also discussed other issues like pending salary, inclusion of 7-8-9 years of service as REZ in regular service for old pension benefits, reconsider grade pay at per JAEOs and framing of service rules.
The Director Agriculture gave a patient hearing to the demands and said that department held meeting with Finance Department regarding salary and arrears of 2nd and 3rd batch VAEAs for which the funds are approved and will be issued within days.
Dr Malhotra said as the length of service for the most VAEA is less and inclusion of services as REZ in regular service will help them in pension benefits. For this, Director said that work was in process and would l be addressed at the earliest.
On the issue of stagnation in the department, Dr Malhota said that he is framing a strategy to remove it and assured that within his remaining tenure department will see healthy changes regarding removal of stagnation among different posts in the department.
