JKATA delegation meets MP

JAMMU, Dec 20: The Jammu Kashmir Agri Technocrats Association (JKATA) delegation today met Member Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas and apprised him of the problems being faced by technocrats (VAEA) of Agriculture Production Department.
The delegation was led by Dr Vishal Manhas, Chairman of JKATA Jammu province. The members during meeting with the MP explained that State Govt engaged Agri Technocrats as RED in 2007 and regularized them in three phases in 2014, 2015 and 2016 but put them in NPS scheme. The technocrats rendered uninterrupted service as REZ but their service is not counted and denied the benefit including promotion and qualifying pension service.
The State Govt also degraded the post of JAEO to VAEA which is lower in pay scale. The grade and designation of VAEA is equivalent to senior field assistant of Agriculture Department, which is clear injustice with qualified youth.
They said on one hand ICAR is recognising BSc Agri degree as technical degree and made it at par with Medicos and Veticos and on the other hand Govt is treating them at par with field assistants of Agri Department.
The Member Parliament, who is also member of Coordination Committee of BJP-PDP assured the delegation that he will put their demands before the concerned authorities a early and fruitful solution.
Those who accompanied the delegation included K D Singh, Ajay Chaudhary Jasvinder Singh, Chanchal Kumar, Nitan Baru, Amit Gupta, Sanjeev Gupta, Arvind Bali, Sudhir Slathia, Sachin Dev and Anil Datta.
