JKATA demands conduct of DPC, publication of final seniority of AEAs

JAMMU, July 5: Monthly meeting was organised under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) held its monthly meeting, here today, under the chairmanship of JKATA President, Dr Surinder Radotra and discussed several burning issues and demands of the cadre.
The meeting demanded promotion of AEAs to JAEO and regularising incharge JAEO as confirmed JAEO in both the regions. Also demanding the restoration of old pension schemes for its cadre, the meet explained that Jammu and Kashmir Government had scrapped old pension scheme on January 1, 2010, but the Agriculture Technocrats had joined Agriculture Department as Rehber-e-Ziraat on Ist April 2007 after a State Cabinet approval.
While addressing the gathering, Dr Surinder Radotra said that on account of the fact that Regularised AEAs were initially recruited in the year 2007 and had completed 3 years of their service in the year 2010, they are entitled for grant of Pension under the Old Pension Scheme in terms of provisions of amended SRO-400 dated 24-12-2009.
“Therefore, we may be immediately shifted from the New Pension Scheme to the scheme of Old Pension. Similar benefits were given to the teachers recruited under the SRO 202,” he added.
Further, it was strongly demanded to include period of seven years of REZ as period of regular service on the analogy of SRO 202 who have already been benefited. The meet demanded that a common seniority list at UT Level, as per regularized/Date of Confirmation as a AEA 2014, 2015, 2016, may be prepared and notified in a time bound manner for the purposes of promoting JAEOs to the post of AEOs.
JKATA appealed to Shailendra Kumar, Principal Secretary to Government Agriculture Productions Department J&K to personally intervene and ensure redressal of grievances of Agriculture Technocrats.
