JAMMU, Feb 3: Jammu and Kashmir Agricultural Technocrats Association (JKATA) today warned the Government to fulfill their genuine demands or face the agitation which was suspended by the Association on April 23, 2012 after the intervention of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who had assured amendment of Cabinet decision in favour of Rehbar-i-Ziraats Technocrats.
In its meeting held here today, the Association members deliberated on amendment of regularization policy and future of Rehbar-i-Ziraats.
Speaking on the occasion, president, JKATA, Surinder Radotra warned the State Government to consider their genuine demands before ensuing Budget Session or be ready to face a fresh agitation. Expressing anguish towards the negligent attitude of the State Government for not taking serious steps for the regularization of Rehbar-i-Ziraats, he demanded that regularization must be watchwise so that overaged Rehbar-i-Ziraats do not suffer.
General secretary, JKATA, Dr Jai demanded a concrete policy for regularization of Rehbar-i-Ziraats. He said that Government should amend Cabinet decision in which regularization is done in 7 years (2014), 8 years (2015) and 9 years (2016). He demanded that absorption of Rehbar-i-Ziraats be done on batchwise manner instead of merit base, as its will adversely affect the future of those who attained degree in 1996, 1997, 1998 and so on.
