JKB organizes financial literacy sessions, concludes trainings

SRINAGAR, July 31: Jammu and Kashmir Bank organized financial literacy and credit counseling-cum-awareness sessions.
In the financial literacy and credit counseling session at the Industrial Training Institute Sopore, more than 40 trainees and trainers participated. The participants were apprised about the role and objectives of FLCC centres, importance of opening savings accounts with the Bank besides informing about the benefits of borrowing from the banks for income generating units.
Head Cluster-II North apprised the audience about the various services and products offered by the Bank besides customers’ rights. Head B/U T P Sopore and Assistant Project Officer DRDO spoke on the occasion.
In collaboration with Lead Bank Office, FLCC Kulgam organized an awareness session at village Pambay in district Kulgam, which was attended by a good number of people including growers, traders and senior citizens.
The LDM Kulgam impressed upon the participants to inculcate the habit of saving by opening various deposit accounts with the bank like savings, Recurring Deposits etc for safe keeping besides handsome returns.
Facilitator FLCC briefed the audience about Bank’s products especially Child Care Scheme, Mehandi Deposit Scheme and other sponsored schemes and insisted upon people to take advantage of such schemes.
Two more sessions were conducted at Govt Degree College Kulgam and at Waltengoo, Kund, wherein more than 300 students besides principal, faculty members and a good number of people participated.
Facilitator FLCC gave a detailed account of Bank’s products particularly Education Finance, Laptop Finance, Kissan Credit Card, Apple Advance Scheme along with other sponsored schemes.
Meanwhile, JKB RSETI Rajouri wrapped up its 8th entrepreneurship development programme in ‘Dress Designing’ for its first non-sponsored batch.
