JKB reaching to unreached under FL programme

JAMMU, Oct 22: Continuing with its endeavor to bring people of unbanked areas under the banking ambit, Business Cluster – 1, Jammu North, Udhampur conducted two Financial Literacy camps at Basantgarh and  Dudu, one the remotest area of district  Udhampur. On the occasion,  S  Iqbal Singh, Cluster Head, J&K Bank informed the gathering that bank is planning to open five more branches in Udhampur district alone in the current financial year which includes the branch at Dudu, Mantalai, Kulwanta and  Pattangarh.
On the occasion a number of pieces of soiled / mutilated currency notes were exchanged and coins of denomination of Rs  1, 2, 5 & 10 were also distributed.
Similarly, Lead Bank Office and FLCC Shopian organized a special Relief cum Credit Awareness Camp at Zainapora Shopian almost 22 Kilometers from Shopian town. More than 100 people from the village and its mufasil villages attended the camp.
