SRINAGAR, Apr 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) today issued a circular warning private schools of action for misleading parents and students over their affiliation with the Board.
The circular, issued by the Secretary of JKBOSE, accuses private schools of using misleading hoardings that falsely indicate they are affiliated with other recognized boards or imparting studies on other patterns, thus duping unsuspecting students.
To prevent such fraudulent practices, the circular states that all institutions must install signboards that reflect the name of their institution with the “School Code” along with the name of the affiliating boards as “Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education” in bold letters.
BOSE has directed all Deputy, Assistant, and In-charge Officers of the Sub and Branch Offices of the Kashmir Division to acquire an action-taken report with GI-tagged photographic proof from all affiliated academic institutions in their respective domains.
The schools have been asked to submit the action taken report to the office of the Joint Secretary, General, Kashmir Division, within seven working days to ensure adherence to the circular.
Officials stated that the directive aims to provide the BOSE with first-hand information about the implementation of the circular.
“Such steps will stop any further deception of impressionable youngsters and guarantee that educational institutions connected to the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education continue to operate transparently,” the officials added.
