AKHNOOR, July 27: J&K Batwal Welfare Association (JKBWA) here today held a meeting with its Akhnoor body and discussed the problems being faced by the community youths.
Speakers in the meeting said, despite being educated the community youth are denied jobs by recruiting agencies.
They said that without job the community youth cannot come out of poverty to lead a dignified life and demanded an employment package for the community youth to enhance economic position of the community.
Speakers in the meeting also demanded lowering of eligibility criteria adopted by the recruiting agencies in view of ethnographic survey report of Batwal community.
Later, JKBWA team met community members at Tachrwan, Kambal Dunga and Tali Morh in Reasi.
Kamal Dass Kaith, Kamal Chand Motan, Ram Lal Sargotra, Ramesh Sargotra, Kaku Ram Kaith, Mast Ram Kaith, Uttam Chand Sandhu, Gandherb Motan, Ex Naib Sarpanch Ram Lal Lakhotra, Kamal Singh Kaith, Mela Ram Tugga and Dilay Ram Kaith were also present in the meeting.
