JAMMU, June 9: Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association (JKBWA) today urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to initiate action on the recent memorandum submitted to his office through Governor House.
While discussing the burning issues of the Batwal Community at a meeting held here today, members stated that since independence the Union as well as the State Governments have taken care of all the communities in the State but the Batwal community has remained ignored and is lagging behind in all respects.
Claiming that Batwal community members have no effective say in the State due to non-representation to them, the Association members alleged that there was no action on various demands of the community, highlighted through a series of memorandums submitted to the State Government through various ministers.
Association members said that their last memorandum was forwarded to the Chief Minister’s office by the Governor House vide its letter dated 10-11.-2015 but so far nothing has been heard in this regard from the Chief Minister’s office.
