JKCCTU extends support to EJAF protest on Nov 4

JAMMU, Nov 2: The Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) has supported the protest call given by the joint platform of employees organizations namely J&K Employees Joint Action Front (EJAF) on November 4 on both the regions of Kashmir and Jammu.
Mohd Maqbool and Gurmeet Singh, president and general secretary of JKCCTU while expressing serious concern over the utter failure of UT administration in releasing the salary of Government employees in time and delaying disbursement of GP Fund, Gratuity and other pensioner benefits to the retiree employees said that such has never been the practice in the past.
This shows the utter negligence of the UT administration which is causing tremendous hardships to the employees and pensioners. JKCCTU demanded timely disbursement of monthly salary and immediate releasing of pensioner benefits.
JKCCTU also demanded the revival of old pension scheme and regularizations of all temporary workers and ensuring of democratic and trade union rights of employees and workers.
