JKCCTU’s concern over delay in issuance of SRO for implementation of 7th PC

JAMMU, Apr 2: J&K Coordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) today expressed its serious concern over the delaying tactics on issuing of SRO regarding implementation of 7th Pay Commission.
In a meeting of the association held here today, the speakers also criticized the Government for its failure in clearing the issues relating to negative aspects of the 7th PC Report regarding abolishment of permanent jobs in future, new pension scheme, continuing of outsourcing system as recommended by the Pay Commission.
The JKCCTU also severely criticized anti-worker wage and regularization policy of the Government while issuing the SRO 520 which is nothing except to continue the contract system of employment in new form.
While addressing the meeting, Mohd Maqbool, State president, JKCCTU, said that the present Government is making promises only but miserably failed to implement its commitments on the burning issues of employees, who are on the streets to fight for their rights and genuine demands, especially enhancement and regular disbursement of wages to temporary workers.
He demanded immediate issuance of SRO for implementation of 7th PC report, settlement of demands of struggling Anganwari workers and framing regularization policy for all temporary workers.
It was also decided in the meeting that JKCCTU will send 25 delegates 5 observers to attend the 16th national conference of All India State Government Employees Federation which is being held at Chennai from April 5 to 8.
